PRESIDENT’S REPORT
The year seems to be galloping away at the rate of knots. Christmas has come and gone, now Easter has followed closely behind.
The GEMBOREE has been staged and held at Willunga in South Australia over the Easter weekend with what appears to be excellent patronage. Parramatta
Holroyd Lapidary Club must congratulate the Western Suburbs Lapidary Club for once again being awarded “Champion Club” for the 16th consecutive year.
Now to our own club matters. It is a matter of good news that the Cumberland City Council have erected “No Stopping “signs on the
outside of our premises. This diminishes greatly the uncertainty surrounding member’s safety whilst exiting our clubrooms. Our thanks must go to the
Cumberland City Council personnel for their installation, thus preventing potential accidents.
During this last month, the club has installed CCTV cameras at the request and recommendation from the NSW Police after our recent break-in.
